Basketandgourds Fall 2009

Alright. It's Halloween. I thought I would post some pictures of a Halloween gourd I did last year for a silent charity auction for Kentucky Employees Charitable Contributions (KECC). I learned several things from that event. I should have set a starting price for the gourd. It was sold for around forty dollars. I thought that was OK until I heard the buyer remark that my work would easily have sold for two to three hundred dolllars at the St. James Art Festival. A festival known around the country as a premier outdoor art festival held in Louisville every year. Two to three hundred dollars....

Well any way hope you like the photos of the gourd. Who knows, I may do another one in the future.
